Maya’s Return…

It was a delightful surprise to see Maya again in our humble class….

Maya, the genius creator of Maya’s Amalgam (http://mayazankoul.com/) who took time out of her busy schedule and her glamorous and famous 😛 to come and give us a lecture on Creative Commons, which basically is a nonprofit corporation that provides free licenses and other legal tools to mark creative work with the freedom the creator wants it to carry, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof. That means you can control to what extent others can use your work… which leads means…

“It is dedicated to make it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright.”

That means that our work can be used to create other work which would lead to spreading our our name and work to furthur circles than what we could have imagined..

Of course we all had different opinions on to what extent we wished to let our work be used…which is why we all posted different licenses…

Maya, it’s always a delight to have you with us 🙂
